![]() As with most other driving practices, this is a process that is learnt through familiarity of the road and your use of it. A hazard could consist of any number of things from a concealed exit, a badly parked vehicle, a person crossing the road or any item that could potentially cause an issue of some kind. This is something that isn’t always clear in the mock hazard perception tests you find online. With any new driver, it is vital for themselves as well as other road users, that they are fully aware and able to spot any hazard perception. In fact, you don’t even get a mouse pointer on your screen in the actual hazard perception test, so you couldn’t click on the hazard itself even if you wanted to. The last thing to bear in mind is also click-related, and will probably make a lot of your lives easier: you don’t have to click on the actual hazard. ![]() For those 5 key seconds, however, you can click as much as you like. Only click when there’s a definite hazard developing. In fact, you actually get points knocked off for clicking too often – it’s seen as a form of cheating, and you can fail your entire theory test just because you clicked too much in the hazard perception section. Everyone’s too enthusiastic, thinking that if they click once for everything in sight then they’re sure to eventually click for the right thing. That’s probably the main place where people fail – the clicking. As soon as the car starts to move out into the road, you click. As soon as you see the child run into the road, you click. It’s gotten to the point now that if something occurs (which despite all your great efforts occurs with great regularity), I am double-thinking whether I should report it or not, as it will simply land into the “Provide More Info” status bucket of churn. This cover is no exception. From the music box-like intro to the sweet sound of Inara George’s voice, flitting from light and airy to sonorous and soulful, we get a measured cover that strips the song of any remaining fever. The Bird and the Bee are masters of covering classics while adding their own twist. It has its own set of accolades, including a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Group and the coveted title as Britain’s Favourite Bee Gees song. “How Deep Is Your Love” was a hit before being placed on the SNF soundtrack. The Bird and the Bee – How Deep Is Your Love (Bee Gees cover) The song’s beats per minute fits within the range recommended for chest compressions. Not only is “Stayin’ Alive” a crowd favorite and named one of the top 500 songs of all time by Rolling Stone and one of the top 100 songs by Time, it is also used to train people in CPR. This backdrop really takes “somebody help me, yeah” to a whole new level of meaning. This cheeky cover of “Stayin’ Alive” lives on the soundtrack for a recent slasher film, Happy Death Day 2U. Staying true to the original groove, Lizzo adds her own sass: “You can tell by the way I use my walk, I’m a woman, no time to talk.” The musical groove is a little bit more synth-like than the original and adds the occasional DJ-like record scratch sounds. Even though this cover was featured on our site before, we have to bring it back for this post. ![]() I can’t wait for the time in the near future when we’ll have enough material for a “covers of Lizzo” post. By the end of the ’70s, disco fever had burned itself out.Īlthough some of the themes and dialogue from the movie don’t hold up, the songs remain essential for those times when you want to put on your boogie shoes. The soundtrack helped the Bee Gees win five Grammys, and the Bee Gees were able to keep up the momentum from this success until the end of the disco era. Being a major part of the SNF soundtrack – they composed and/or performed eight of its 17 songs – helped breathe new life into their career. The soundtrack contributed three of their six consecutive number-one singles to the Bee Gees streak, at the time tying the Beatles’ record for the most in the United States. With help from disco and falsetto, the band had found a new groove. The Bee Gees had fallen into a funk, and not the good kind, in the early 1970s. Staten Island rivalry thrown in for good measure. Starring John Travolta before he had really made his mark (post- Kotter, pre- Grease), the story is as old as time: boy wants to escape his mundane job and dramatic family life through dance and pursue the woman of his dreams, who of course is bad for him, along the way. ![]() SNF is both a worthy successor to the older films and a proud forebear of those that followed in its dance steps. This genre also has plenty of popular descendants like Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Save the Last Dance, and Step Up. The Companion Guide recommends use of Retail Channel builds for this reason. ![]() ![]() You don't have to deal with expiring builds (which means getting a new build which requires the Insider Program registration). Now, once that’s done you can launch the VM, but you’ll need to install the newest version of VMware Tools (11.2 as of this writing). It allows Macs with Intel or the Apple M series of chips to run virtual machines with guest operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, or macOS, within the host macOS operating system. While this is possible with Fusion 12.0 and macOS 11.0, there are many critical bugs fixed in Fusion 12.1 and macOS 11.1. They get updated regularly through Windows Update just like a Parallels VM and a "real" ARM-based PC. VMware Fusion is a software hypervisor developed by VMware for macOS systems. Almost all users would be better served by using the Retail channel builds of Windows 11 ARM. That still doesn't answer the question "when will we see full VMware Tools".īut if your issue is "I can't sign up for the Insider Program", take a long step back and ask yourself why you want to. The missing drivers are because VMware has not released a full VMware Tools implementation for Windows 11ARM - this is noted in both the Fusion documentation and the Unofficial Fusion 13 for Apple Silicon Companion document. The latest we've heard from VMware is that they're working on Windows 11 ARM "blessing" from Microsoft "full speed ahead" since Microsoft now allows Apple Silicon as a supported platform. That should include a full VMware Tools implementation. But it won't be resolved until VMware releases their full VMware Tools that contain the drivers for the "unknown devices" which are the host/guest integration devices. For macOS guests, this depends on exactly which applications you want to run, because of limited graphics support for macOS guests.Of 7 March.this has yet to be unresolved. This might affect whether it worth pursuing VMware Fusion as a solution: you may be better off buying a newer Mac and perhaps using VMware Fusion on that newer Mac to run an older operating system as a guest. You haven't mentioned which operating system you want to run as a guest inside VMware Fusion. The latest version includes full support for Windows 10, macOS Mojave, and the latest Macs, including the 18-core iMac Pro and MacBook Pro with 6-core Intel i9 CPU. If you don't have a licence for VMware Fusion 10.x or 11.x, you can get one by buying VMware Fusion 12 then using the My VMware portal to downgrade your licence to VMware Fusion 10.x or 11.x instead. VMware Fusion - virtualization software for running Windows, Linux, and other systems on a Mac without rebooting. If the 'Sharing' option is not available in VMware Fusion, you can use another workaround to share files between your macOS host and your Windows 11 ARM virtual machine by creating a network share on your macOS host and accessing it from your Windows 11 ARM virtual machine. I'll assume you have installed High Sierra on your iMac and you are wanting to know if you can run VMware Fusion. Given the compatibility chart in the second article, that means you need VMware Fusion 10.x or 11.x, but not 11.5.5 or later, since 11.5.5 raised in the minimum requirement to macOS Mojave 10.14. You can't run VMware Fusion 12 on that iMac. Given you have a Mid 2011 iMac, the maximum operating system Apple supports on that model is macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. The first one also mentions that VMware Fusion 12 can run macOS High Sierra as a guest. ![]() The two articles you link mostly explain the requirements for the host operating system. I really would like to run MSVPC2007 again, but don't want to have to downgrade the OS on my computer or run VPC2007 on an older OS inside Oracle VirtualBox (what's the point of running a virtual machine inside of a virtual machine?). Important stuff that the OS needs to read and write is probably in completely different places now than it was before, so when drivers write to what they think is the correct location, and it's not the correct location, it ends up corrupting the OS in memory, forcing Windows to do a BSoD and then reboot. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that the issue is that the driver accesses kernel memory (the layout of memory for the OS itself), and the layout is probably much different now than it was when MSVPC2007 was released. I figured it probably was that there was a driver that it installed that was incompatible with the current version of Windows. It gave me a BSoD, something VERY RARE in Windows 10. ![]() So after that I was able to install MS Virtual PC 2007. I carefully blanked out that entry with 0x00 bytes (not removing the bytes from the file as that would change the offsets for other entries and corrupt the file, which could cause other issues). I bypassed this by hex editing one of the files Windows uses to determine the compatibility of various software (and blocks installation of known incompatible software). It says it's not compatible with the current version of Windows. Unfortunately it won't even install in Windows 10.
